I was commissioned by Advanced Photoshop Magazine to create a 2 page spread of artwork for this year’s Issue 65! It is an honor to create artwork for one of the industries leading magazines. It’s also out of the UK which automatically makes it even cooler! The artwork is for an article featuring artists who use 3d and Photoshop. I’m real excited to get the issue in my hands as they are showcasing several pieces of my artwork.

Last year they featured my artwork in an article about the Music Industry. READ it here.
You can also check out a tutorial I wrote for the magazine HERE.

Really nice Barton. How long would you say this project took you from start to finish?

  4. bartondamer says:

Well, If I told you a day and a half… that sounds pretty fast! But if I say 12-14 hours… sounds like a long time. ;-)

    So… a day and a half!

i´m from Dominican Republic and i just want to say:

Amazing artwork ,i´ve seen you got various tutorials on psd tuts and gomedia , but i want to know if in this piece you only used c4d and photoshop as you always do? cause for me it looks really awesome. thanks a lot . the work you do, make me follow you .peace.

Marcos, Thanks for your kind words! Yes. This piece is primarily Photoshop and Cinema 4d. I used Illustrator to help me model some of the 3d objects. Does that answer your question?

    • Todd Fooshee says:

So when you say you use Illustrator to model some of the objects, are you simply using the 3D extrude and bevel effect and then importing it into C4d?

  14. Daniel says:

Awesome work as usual. You could probably have your own magazine.
