Nick Campbell is the mega blog star over at greyscalegorilla.com. He works at Digital Kitchen and his blog has increasingly become the hub of all things motion graphics for me lately. He’s pretty much a genius and is dropping all sorts of knowledge… for free! He recently invited people to post a link to their reel and he would take time to critique it. He was careful to warn us ahead of time that he was going to be rough. The sensitive need not apply. I was very interested to here what he would say about my reel so I posted the link last week along with 150+ other reel links. He chose 3 reels to start out with and mine was one of them. Everyone should tune into his critiques as you’ll here some great advice. He’s quick to let you know if your work is up to standard for a professional level or if you need to keep working on it. My favorite line of the critique “Ends with Jesus. Classic.” Â
