If I can rate (obviously I can’t), I will rate that Nick Mnemoni is right. There are many scenarios when that happen besides someone trying to play around with you. If you are in an office, that means the IT guys trying to block you from going to that site. In that case, editing the host file might be in vain since you may not have the permission to do it.
