A few weeks ago I asked for your input on what types of things you’d like to hear about. One of the requests was about hiring Creatives. I’ve written a more in depth article over at COLLIDE with some suggestions of how to find a great fit for your team. Here are some of the categories I discuss:

1) Volunteer—“This designer is not great at design but I have no other leads and he/she has a great heart for ministry.”

2) Beginner Professional—“This designer is good but will hopefully improve.”

3) Skilled Professional—“This designer is very good but will need some direction.”

4) Expert Professional—“This creative is great and will lead our church visually.”

Take a look at the ARTICLE and let me know if you have any additional thoughts.

Liked your article on hiring the wrong person for the right job it makes a lot of sense . But every artist sees visual things differently some of us are modern and some of us are a little realistic or are mosern and like to think of our selves as realistic .
